Nice example of the Boyle & Gamble Foot Officers sword with CSA and Confederate Battle Flag etched on the blade. Original top stitched leather scabbard is fine condition. The mounts are all original and have been slightly cleaned. The drag flange is completely worn of from field service and dragging in the dirt. This can be easily replaced if the buyer wishes. I like it since it adds a little character to the sword. Etched blade is gun metal gray in appearance with strong CSA and a battle flag on the blade along with floral motifs. A number of B&G foot officers swords were not etched and this is a decent example. Original leather grips and wire are in fine condition with the leather showing wear in a few places.
