This particular sword was once in the Fort Ticonderoga Museum in upstate New York and was released through Skinner Auctions. According to museum records it came into their possession around 1953 through a donation from a Mister Paul Tryon. Mr. Tryon stated that it was for many years displayed in a bank in Keene Valley, New York. It was stated that it was most likely brought home as a war trophy from one of the regiments from the Adirondack area. The sword is in fine condition still retaining the original leather grips with the typical single strand copper wire wrap. The sword's metal parts are coated with a coat of clear lacquer and an accession number from the museum.
