Freeman Army Model Revolver

Fine example of a secondary Civil War revolver manufactured between 1863-1864. Total production estimated at about 2000 produced by Hoard's Armory of Watertown, New York. The Freeman revolver is a 6 shot revolver made in .44 caliber with a 7 1/2 inch barrel. Fine example serial number 625 with a dark patina with a few faint traces of blue remaining in a few places. The action is mechanically perfect along with very nice grips showing only minor wear in a few paces. Markings are clear on the top of the barrel and read FREEMAN'S PATENT DEC. 9 1862 and HOARD'S ARMORY, WATERTOWN N.Y.
