Foot officer's sword manufactured by the firm of Boyle Gamble & Macfee in Richmond, Virginia. All brass parts a mellow uncleaned brass patina. The center mount is missing and appears to have been carried that way. The top mount is missing the pin holding the hanger. The original leather grips are fine and retain the original brass wire wrap.The unstopped fuller blade has a grey patina and a few nicks on the cutting edge. The original leather scabbard is intact showing honest field wear. All in all a very rare marked Confederate Officers sword.
