100% of the leather grips remaining with all of the twisted wire wrap intact. Brass Guard and pommel cap are somewhat shiny with a nice gray mottled blade free of any nicks or damage. Scabbard is dark with rust pitting overall with somewhat heavy pitting on the drag where it probably sat upright on a cellar floor. A nice example of an imported light artillery saber that saw service on both sides during the War Between the States.
