Fine example of a percussion alteration Model 1836 Johnson North Carolina surcharged Flint Lock pistol. Strong North Carolina markings with some pitting and with a dark brown patina on the barrel. Altered to percussion with the drum in barrel style alteration most likely done by a contractor for the state at the beginning of the war. Wood is nice condition with the original US inspectors marks sharp and clear.
