Nice condition 1st variation Kerr revolver in .44 caliber with the sighting groove in the top strap of the frame. I purchased this gun about 40 years ago from the late Colonel Lindsey P. Henderson of Savannah, Georgia. Lindsey was one of the early collectors who kindly took the time to talk to a young collector and share information. Colonel Henderson was a veteran of 3 wars and ran a private Museum on the riverfront in Savannah. His mother had ran an antique shop in Savannah and had purchased items from Civil War veterans when Linsey was young. I purchased many great items from him including General Beauregard's serial number 8 Lemat that recently sold in Julia's Auction. Dark gun with some blue remaining in places marked London Armoury Bermondsey. Serial number 766 visible on the frame and the cylinder. Checkered wood grips are fine with a small silver presentation plaque on the back. It is time for me to pass it on for someone else to enjoy it as much as I have over the years.
