Confederate McElroy and Hunt frame buckle

Battlefield dug specimen in excellent condition with a brown patina. The McElroy and Hunt buckles have a distinct beveled edge on the face. The rarest of these examples are the ones with the firm name cast into the back along with Macon Georgia. A number of these rare buckles have been faked and are addressed on Harry Ridgeways (Relic Man) website. The firm name is faint but there and has been outlined in white. This example comes with a 100% guarantee and according to the previous owner was purchased in 1996 from The Picket Post in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
