Bullet Struck Union Officers Sword Belt Plate
Item #: df1456

Probably one of the best bullet struck belt plates I have ever handled. Deep dark rich brown patina and probably an early battlefield pickup. Information from the former owner said it was originally obtained from a now defunct museum and was picked up on the Gettysburg Battlefield. I am currently working on the provenance and trying to confirm the verbal history. The plate comes with a letter of authenticity from noted and respected Civil War dealer Dave Taylor.
