Great Coat button measuring 20MM in nice excavated condition. Backmark is UNITED STATES and has a stand up shank.. Fort Heilman was in existence from 1836-1842 and was a supply depot and a base of operations against the Seminole Indians in East Florida during the 2nd Seminole Indian war. Found on private property with the owners permission.
