Soldier's Trench Art Mess Kit

Nice WW1 soldier identified mess kit with soldiers name and patriotic engraving. Harley W. Hooper enlisted June 6, 1917 the Ohio National Guard. His unit became the 147th infantry regiment 37th "Buckeye" Division during WW1. Born in 1890 Sargent Nooper passed away in 1961 at the age of 71 and is buried in Forest Cemetery Toledo, Ohio. Interestingly the 1940 census list him as an inmate in the Lucas County Jail.
