Maker marked US buckle with leather remains

Nice round hooks Union Belt buckle with some of the original leather belt remaining. Boyd and Son Boston markings are clearly visible on the back. The backside has some lead erosion around the fastening hook on the outside edge. This excavated example is from an old time collection that was found around Petersburg, Virginia many years ago.
