Very attractive 51 Navy retaining very much of it's original blue with a sharp naval engagement cylinder scene. Serial number 68441 indicating 1857 year of manufacture with all numbers matching including the wedge. The grips retain all the original finish with a chip out on the leading edge near the bottom on one side as noted in the photos. The area around the wedge has some dings where someone incorrectly tried to remove. The trigger guard retains much of the silver but has become oxidized in several places. Typical colt factory dovetail sight that begins appearing on the late 3rd models. This gun has a very sharp and clear barrel address reading ADDRESS SAM L COLT NEW YORK CITY. A above average attractive firearm worthy of the finest collection.
