Very Rare Snell pattern bayonet for the Mississippi Rifle

Type 1 example in the original scabbard produced in 1855 for alterations of the Mississippi rifle. Records indicate that 1,646 were produced. The brass has an overall mustard brown patina an remains uncleaned. The blade retains a mottled gray appearence and is devoid of any nicks. The leather scabbard is in fine condition and free from any breaksor damage.
