Fine example of the model 1858 Starr double action .44 caliber revolver serial number 15756. Approximately 23,000 produced late 1850's to early 1860's and most purchased by the U.S. Government. Smooth gray brown patina on all the metal parts with strong markings and serial number on the cylinder. The 6 inch barrel retains good rifling and the wood grips are fine with inspector's cartouches on both sides.
