Decent example serial number 35798 made by Ebenezar Starr, the son of Nathan Starr of Yonkers,New York. Estimated production of this model was around 5000 carbines delivered through March to May of 1865. .52 caliber with a 21 inch round barrel with an iron band and butt-plate. The bore is nice with good rifling with very little rust and pitting. The walnut stock has several nicks and dings associated with field use as shown in my pictures. The iron parts have an overall brown patina with sharp markings throughout.
