Unmarked confederate cavalry saber with leather grips and twisted wire wrap. Crude lapped seam scabbard missing the throat. The scabbard has one iron and one brass hanger. This is the first time I have noticed this and wonder if this is the result of using captured battlefield salvaged parts. Gun metal gray blade with unstopped fuller. The pommel cap has a number of nicks. Overall a nice example of a confederate cavalry sabre.
