Typical so called Kenansville/ Boyle Gamble unmarked Confederate cavalry sabre. Evidently these were produced in large numbers. The blade and scabbard are the classic Kenansville style and the guard resembles those found on the Boyle and Gamble sabers. There is some speculation that possibly someone made the scabbards and sold them to different sword manufactures. The blade is also the typical Kenansville blade with the rounded top edge. My feelings are that these were probably made at Kenansville. Sword is in nice condition retaining some of the red arsenal paint on the scabbard.
