Seated CDV of hard fighting Confederate General William R. Peck. Peck enlisted as a private in the 9th Louisiana Infantry at the beginning of the war and rose to the rank of Brigadier General by the end of the war. He saw action in most all the major engagements of The Army of Northern Virginia including the Gettysburg campaign. William Peck was praised by General John B. Gordon in the July 1864 battle of Monocacy for his gallant service. He was later wounded in the thigh at the Third Battle of Winchester, Virginia. Slight damage to several corners but overall a nice CDV from the Steve Mullinax collection.
