Untouched Confederate Fayetteville Rifle Musket
Item #: mk01

Absolutely untouched attic condition Fayetteville rifle. This is how you like to find them without having been messed with. I don't think the screws have been turned since it was made. The brass has a nice dark patina with a sharp CSA stamping on the butt plate. The front band is missing the sling swivel. The wood is dark with the original finish and has some nicks and dings from attic storage. The JB inspectors stamp is clearly visible. There is a sliver of wood missing behind the nipple and a crack running forward from the lock about 3 inches. Metal parts are dark and have some rust pitting with the lock dated 1863 and and the barrel dated 1864. Eagle and CSA faint but visible on the lock. If you are looking for an attic gun that has not been messed with this is the one.
