Early Chickamauga Battlefield pickup grouping

Interesting grouping of items obtained in 1898 by a soldier from the Chickamauga Battlefield area. The army established a training camp at the Chickamauga battlefield during the Spanish American War. The grouping consist of U.S. waist belt and buckle with initials HB on back of belt, US cartridge box with US plate with old label CHICKAMAUGA 1898, Percussion cap box with LONGLEY & COMPANY LEWISTON MAINE markings, Bayonet Scabbard, Shot Bag , and a bag labeled REBEL SHOT POUCH. The shot pouch could possibly have bee some sort of haversack. Also included is an 1895 Chicamauga Battlefield-Snodgrass House Dedication Medal, 1898 Camp Thomas souvenir badge and an 1898 Camp Thomas military all in a nice display case. Also included is a excellant article from the March 2015 North South Trader's Civil War Magazine. about this exact grouping. These items were obviously obtained by a soldier training at the Battlefield.
