Group of Confederate pistol parts eyeballed at the site of the Griswold pistol factory by Fred Donaldson about 45 years ago. Fred told me you could scrape the ground and find gun parts. The factory was destroyed by Yankee raiders on November 22, 1864. Of interesting note is the musket hammer blank which indicates that some long arms must have been repaired at the factory.
