Superb example of an Ames Artillery Short Sword and original Regulation 1839 pattern enlisted artillery belt and plate. Sword is nice with a clean 1841 dated blade. The brass is a nice dark patina with MS (Massachusetts) marking on the cross guard. The scabbard is nice with a few minor scrapes and is 100% intact. The white buff belt is outstanding and may have never been issued and still has the makers label stenciled inside. The 1839 regulation belt plate has a beautiful gold/brown patina. It would be hard to improve on this wonderful set.
