War Log from the Steve Mullinax Collection. Many times when I would visit Steve I would admire this great relic from Chickamauga. Old tag on the front says "A FRAGMENT FROM CHICKAMAUGA PRESENTED TO JOHN A. ANDREW POST 15 BY COMRADE E.W. FROST. Emory Frost served in the 14th Massachusetts Light Artillery enlisting on Feb. 19 1864 and mustering out on June 15 1865. This Pine War Log, measuring 36 inches in height and 16 inches in diameter was displayed for many years in the John A. Andrew Post in Boston, Massachusetts. Clearly visible is the base of a 2.9 inch Parrot projectile embedded deeply in the log. Very good condition with some bark chipping and missing with a cigar box with some of the fragments saved inside. The previous owner well known and respected Mr. Steve Mullinax is pictured with the war log in the JAN-FEB 1993 (vol. XX No. 1) Edition of North South Traders CIVIL WAR Magazine. I have scanned and added it to the pictures.
