Early Birds Head Militia Officers Sword with canvas sling.

Beautiful example of a circa 1812-1830 American militia officers sword with the tarred leather frog and cotton linen sling. Leather throat washer intact with a nice unmarked mottled grey blade. Brass guard and scabbard mounts nice with good age patina. 85% of the leather grip wrap remains with a couple places worn through. Leather scabbard is nice and in fine condition and 100% intact. Canvas sling is in fine condition and complete attached to the tarred leather frog. The frog has some damage around the throat button and age crinkling on the front side. Overall a fine example of War of 1812, Seminole Indian War Sword.
