Palmetto William Glaze pistol directly from the family. Family history indicates that it was most likely carried by John Tyler Warburton who served the Virginia Courtney Artillery from Henrico County. The Courtney Artillery served in most all of the campaigns of the Army of Northern Virginia. Provided with the pistol is a notarized statement from the family member outlining the provenance of the pistol. The pistol is in used condition with some pitting on the metal parts with most of the markings visible on the lock and barrel. Pitting around the nipple obscures the date on the barrel tang. The wood is good however a crack is visible running from below the lock to the opposite side.
