Fresh to the market Confederate Officers Frock Coat found in an estate sale in Washington, Georgia. This coat was purchased out of a home just off of the town square a few houses away from General Toombs' home. The only info from the sale was that part of the family that resided there had owned The Rose Hill Plantation during the Civil War. The purchaser did not get any further information as to who the owner might have been. The coat is in fair condition with moth damage in several places. The inside liner is missing and could be replaced and the coat still retains 15 of the original Union Staff Officers buttons. Also on the coat is a New York Staff button found on one cuff. The sleeves have the ballooning on the elbows found on original Civil War period coats with an unusual detachable cuff. On the rear remain 2 buttons over the tail pockets and the skirt has the usual trimmed unhemmed bottom edge. This coat is guaranteed to be a 100% correct Confederate Frock Coat from the American Civil War.
