Fine untouched as found Ames non commissioned officers sword dated 1864. All brass parts have a nice old age patina and have not been cleaned. The blade is very nice without any rust pitting or nicks and retains the original luster. The leather scabbard is in fine condition and stable with minor age crackling. The throat and brass drag have a couple of minor dents.
