This is probably the best condition Kenansville Staff Officer's sword I have ever had the opportunity to sell. All brass parts have a nice smooth even patina and fine grips and wire wrap. The blade was probably lightly cleaned many years ago and now has a pleasing mottled grey appearance. Roman numeral XVI clearly visible on the throat and guard. Completely 100% original and it would be difficult to find one better.
