Extremely rare full plate ambrotype of a captain holding his 1860 staff and field sword. Clearly visible is his New York sword belt plate. The image is sharp and clear and mounted in a full leatherette case with some tarnish on the matt. The previous owner told me years ago that he thought he was someone famous but could not remember hid identification. My preliminary research has not been able to establish an Id.
