Hiaman foot officer's sword made in Columbus, Georgia. The leather grips and wire wrap are with the leather worn through. The wood lined leather scabbard is fine but is missing the center mount. I cannot see any evidence of ever having one. It is definitely a Confederate scabbard, but the mounts differ from the few I have seen. The unetched blade has as a gray patina with several nicks on the edge. The brass is fine with a nice patina. If you hold it up to your ear you can almost hear Dixie.
