Nice framed albumen photo of Captain William A. Howe of company A 7th Ohio Infantry. Housed in a period gold painted 20" / 16" oval frame. William Howe enlisted as a sergeant and rose to the rank of captain during his service mustering out with his company in July 1864. The 7th Ohio saw hard fighting at Winchester, VA., Port Republic, Va., Cedar Mountain, Va., Antietam, Md., Chancellorsville, Va. and Gettysburg, Pa.
