FRAMED CABINET CARD OF ALFRED A. SEAVERNS 7TH MASSACHUSETTS INFANTRY

Nicely framed in an 12 x14 inch Victorian oak frame with the soldiers name in a silver plaque on the front.. The 7th Massachusetts infantry served in many of the major actions of the Army of the Potomac. Records indicate that he was wounded in the left hand a Fredericksburg, Virginia and later served in the Veteran reserve corp. The picture was presented to the the GAR post 31 in 1889. Nicely hand written on the back is a detailed description of his entire service. The mat has some water staining in places.
