SCRATCH AND DENT SALE RICHMOND CARBINE PARTS GUN
Item #: tk14

Richmond carbine dated 1864. A decent looking gun but after close examination it appears to have a replaced stock. The mule shoe that collectors look for in the lock in-letting appears to have been glued in. If it was an effort to deceive it is obvious and easy to spot. The barrel, lock-plate, hammer, butt late and remaining parts all appear to be Richmond. The ramrod matches the other parts but may have been replaced as well. The rear sling swivel is quite possibly a replacement as well. The barrel has heavy pitting around the barrel with heavy erosion on the wood behind it. With all that said, the gun would display or be used for a parts gun.
