Fine example of an iron-mounted P56 Enfield rifle. The rifle has a 33-inch barrel that is rifled and sighted with the 25 25 proof marks clearly visible. The lock-plate is strongly marked 1859 with a crown over VR on the rear. All metal parts exhibit a smooth brownish patina. The wood is nice, with several nicks and dings from use and storage. The ramrod has the T&C.G mark indicating the ramrod manufacturer, as shown in my photos. The mechanical is crisp and operates perfectly.
