Leather artillery fuse pouch issued to U.S. naval gunners during the Civil War. This rectangular black leather box, approx. 4¾" x 4¼" x 2½", was worn on the waist belt and designed to carry paper time fuzes for cannon shells.

It features clear "U.S.N.Y. BOSTON" (United States Naval Yard, Boston) markings on the inner flap, a belt loop on the reverse, and a closure tab with a brass finial. In fine condition with strong, legible markings.
