Serial number 1685 2nd Model Griswold with all matching serial numbers. Cryptic mark U sharp and clear on barrel and trigger guard with secondary number 35 visible on all parts except wedge which has a number 5 and could possibly be a replacement. Roman numeral assembly mark XV visible on the backstrap and trigger guard. Barrel twist is visible with a nice greyish brown patina visible on all iron parts. All brass parts have a nice mustard brown patina with some reddish tint in areas. One of the better condition Griswolds and worthy of the best Confederate arms collection.
