Nice example of a Peace Flask manufactured by N.P. Ames Cabotville, Massachusetts. This example is the circle of stars variant and is inspected by W.A. Thornton and dated 1846. These flask are usually found with 1837, 1838, 1844 and 1846 dates. This flask retains a pleasant mustard brown patina and still has the the wire hangers. The closure spring inside appears to be broken. The tiny powder measure stop is non functional but otherwise a very nice example with a very pleasing eye appeal
