Nice example of a rare box marked on the front with a US with E. GAYLORD MAKER CHICOPEE, MASS. and MANN'S PATENT REISSUED JUNE JUNE 7TH, 1864. This example has the attached loop on the box to be worn on a waist belt. All leather is fine with surface crinkling on the cover. The latch tab is present and in fine pliable condition. The original cartridge tin is intact and does not have the tab for removing the tab as on other patented boxes.
