My quick research did not find any European gunmakers with the last name Young. However, I did find several Americans. From all appearances I still think this is from a European maker. Very fine condition and functions mechanically perfect. Nicely marked on the lock plate is YOUNG and marked on the barrel is London Fine Twisted. The barrel has a nice Damascus twist with a .54 caliber smooth bore. All metal parts have never been cleaned and have a nice even patina. The wood grips have a nice checkering, and the gun still retains its original brass tipped ramrod.
