Interesting Colt 1851 Navy serial number125814 with British proofs on the cylinder and barrel. According to the serial number it was produced in 1862. Samuel Colt New York barrel address sharply marked on the top of the barrel. All serial numbers are matching including the wedge and cylinder pin. The mechanical function is fine, and the cylinder rotates and indexes properly. The pistol has an overall dark grey appearance with very minute traces of blue in a few protected places. The wood retains the original varnish with several nicks and dings with one corner having edge damage. The .36 caliber barrel retains decent rifling with very minor pitting.
