Interesting photo postcard of a family group with a gentleman with one leg. Identified on the back as Father Olinger. My research indicates this would be Frederick William Ohlinger who served in the 13th West Virginia Infantry and was wounded in the left leg on June 18, 1864 resulting in amputation. An account of the action from the official records comes with the photo. After the Civil War Frederick Ohlinger moved to Polk County Florida where this picture was likely taken.
