Civil War cap box marked S. H.Young Newark , New Jersey on the inside flap. Inspector's mark visible on the outer flap. Latch tap and belt loops intact and solid. Leather has surface crinkling on the front and back and still retains the lambs wool inside. Steven H. Young of Newark ,New Jersey had several contracts to produce accoutrements for the U.S. Government during the Civil War.
