Soft cover reprint edition from the Seminole Wars Historic Foundation. John Bemrose came to the United States from England in 1831. In November of that year, 18 year old Bemrose enlisted in the United States Army. Upon enlistment he listed his occupation as a chemist and was quickly assigned to the 2nd Regiment of Artillery. His record of service in Florida is unique in having been written by an enlisted man in an era where most enlisted men were illiterate. 135 page edition with supplemental essays included.
