Nice example of a circa 1780-1810 French Flintlock pocket pistol. Grips have an attractive burled wood handle with a very minor repair near the front of the side-plate opposite of the lock. Also there is a small crack opposite the lock plate as shown in my pictures. All the metal parts have a dark grey appearance with gold gilt inlay remaining in various places. The mechanical action operates properly and holds at full cock. Just what the Colonials needed for a night out on the town.
