Civil war canteen and tin cup with old tag stating that it was carried by Norman Brimhall during the Civil War. My research finds a Norman Brimhall serving as a private in the 102nd Pennsylvania infantry. He Enlisted in on March 6, 1865, and mustered out 3 months later on June 23, 1865. Private Brimhall passed away in May 1870 in Erie, Pennsylvania and is buried in the South Hill Cemetery. The tag is written by Rich Weaver, and I was able to find some decedents with that last name on Ancestry.
