Fresh find prisoner of war song written by a soldier in the 12th Michigan Infantry. It was found inside an old envelope that had " PRISONER OF CIVIL WAR SONG BY MY GRANDPA JOE BROWN" written on the front. the song is named THE PRISONER 'S HOPE. Interestingly I have been unable to find any information of Joel Brown ever being a prisoner of war. The paper has tears in the folds.
