Made in Philadelphia by P.S. Justice with production estimated to have been around 2500 arms. Marked P behind trigger guard with the serial number 2120 visible. P.S. Justice utilized locks from earlier U.S. muskets and this example still has the M.T. Wickam marking visible. The Justice stamp is also lightly visible and crudely marked on the lock as well. All metal parts show evidence of cleaning with a grey mottled salt and pepper appearance. All the brass parts have a nice appearance with a mellow patina. The wood is fine without any cracks or defects. The rusty.58 caliber bore retains the rifling visible but dirty. All the mechanical action is crisp and operates properly.
