Considered by some collectors to be post-Civil War, however there is a dug example in Steve Mullinax's book on page138 that was dug in a Georgia camp near Fredericksburg, Virginia. Also, there is a non-dug example in O'Donnel, and Campbell pictured on page 499. With all that said this is a very nice example with a pliable belt with the hangers intact.
