Fresh find and new to the market Leech and Rigdon confederate revolver serial number 1123. Marked on the butt of the grip are the letters SC for South Carolina. Some Leech revolvers in the 1000 to 1300 serial range are found with the South Carolina markings. This example is a very dark gun having never been cleaned and and exhibits an almost black patina. The gun is completely original with the exception of the wedge screw which was missing when I found it. I have replaced it with another from a colt army. The grips are fine showing normal wear associated with use. All of the brass parts have a dark uncleaned patina. The pistol is tight and the mechanical action indexes and operates correctly. All of the serial numbers are matching including the wedge as can be seen in my pictures.
